Bean to Bar
Discover the Art of Crafting Chocolate from the Cocoa Bean Itself. Join us for a hands-on, immersive experience where you’ll learn how real chocolate is made - from scratch! In this 3-hour Bean to Bar workshop, we’ll guide you through the fascinating journey of the cocoa bean, transforming it step-by-step into delicious, handcrafted chocolate. You’ll work with ethically sourced cocoa beans and learn how to: -Roast, crack, and winnow the beans -Grind and refine them into chocolate -Understand the science behind cocoa butter, sugar, and conching -Learn some fascinating facts about the history of chocolate -Temper your chocolate and mould it into bars to take home -Learn how to flavour chocolate and add inclusions to not only taste great, but look amazing too. We’ll also explore the different flavour profiles of single-origin beans and taste various chocolates along the way. Expect rich aromas, flavour discoveries, and plenty of chocolate to enjoy! Whether you’re a curious foodie, chocolate lover, or aspiring maker, this workshop is designed to be fun, educational, and entirely hands-on - no previous experience needed. All equipment and high-quality ingredients are provided. You’ll leave with your own finished bean-to-bar chocolate and the knowledge to replicate the process at home. You will package your bars ready to take home with you. Chocolate truffles and filled chocolates
Join us for a fun, educational, and indulgent 3-hour chocolate-making workshop in our professional kitchen in Mayford, Woking. Perfect for anyone aged 14 and over, this experience is designed to teach you real chocolate skills you can take home and enjoy again and again. You’ll start by tasting a variety of high-quality chocolate and learning how chocolate is made - from bean to bar. Then, roll up your sleeves and get hands-on as you create your own ganache, pipe it into chocolate shells, and master the art of tempering to cap off your chocolates and dip and coat rich truffles. You’ll also use any left over chocolate to make beautifully decorated chocolate bark. At the end of the session, you’ll package your chocolates into beautiful gift presentation boxes to take home with you. You'll take home: 24 filled chocolates 12 hand-rolled truffles A slab of decorated chocolate bark. All made by you, with expert guidance and the best ingredients. Whether you’re a chocolate lover, a curious foodie, or just looking for a unique experience, this workshop is a delicious way to spend a morning or afternoon - and pick up skills you can recreate at home. Chocolate based gifts
During this course, you will learn professional chocolate making skills. You will make Florentines, chocolate dipped candied orange, and truffles, which you will package in your handmade chocolate bowl. All of these make perfect Christmas gifts. You will take home approximately 9 Florentines, 14 truffles, 15 orange sticks and one chocolate bowl. You will start by learning how to make perfect Florentines, the base of which you will coat in chocolate. You will learn the art of chocolate tempering, so that when it sets, it will retain a nice snap and will not develop any unsightly white bloom. This tempered chocolate will then be used to coat your truffle centres, your Florentines and your crystalised orange sticks. Finally, you will package your chocolate gifts using beautiful boxes and ribbons and take them home with you. The workshop runs for approximately 2.5 - 3 hours Cost: £75 per person

Family/children's chocolate making workshop
Looking for a sweet way to spend quality time together? Our Family/Children’s chocolate making workshop is a fun-filled, hands-on experience designed for children (ages 8+) and their grown-ups to enjoy side by side. Guided by a professional chocolatier in our fully equipped kitchen in Mayford, Woking, you’ll explore the magical world of chocolate - tempering, moulding, decorating, and of course, tasting! You will learn how to make your very own chocolate creations - colourful truffles, chocolate bars and dipped items such as honeycomb, pretzels, marshmallows and an Oreo biscuit. All using high-quality ingredients and plenty of imagination. It’s messy, creative, and delicious fun for the whole family. AND everyone leaves with a bag of handmade chocolates and a big smile. Perfect for birthdays, special outings, or just a memorable day together. You will take home approximately 10 chocolate truffles, one chocolate bar and a bag of chocolate dipped goodies. MINIMUM AGE: 8 years old The workshop runs for approximately 2 hours Cost: £48 per person

Advanced Chocolate Skills
This workshop is available to people who have already completed one of our basic workshops. In this class, you will learn how to make filled and dipped chocolates from start to finish. You will prepare your chocolate moulds and fill them with tempered chocolate. You will then make two different fillings, one which will be piped into your expertly made chocolate shells and the other that will be sliced and dipped in chocolate. You will then cap off your chocolate shells and dip your delicious squares. Finally, you will package your chocolates to take home with you. The workshop runs for approximately 4.5 hours Cost: £105 per person

Children's Birthday Parties
What child doesn't love chocolate? We provide the perfect setting for your child's birthday party event. During this workshop, the children will have a fantastic, fun time making a variety of chocolate products. They will make a bar of chocolate and decorate this with a varity of fun toppings. They will also make 2 chocolate pigs out of marshmallows and then chocolate dip a range of items such as pretzels, popcorn and honeycomb. Every child will take home a 40g bar of chocolate and a bag of chocolate dipped goodies. So there's no need for a party bag! We take a minimum of 8 children and a maximum of 10 children. Chocolate Truffles and Silver Ring making
Immerse yourself in a unique creative experience with our Chocolate Truffles & Silver Ring Making course, hosted by Workshop 925 Jewellery School and The Chocolate School. This full-day workshop offers a delightful combination of chocolate-making and jewellery craftsmanship, perfect for anyone looking to explore their creative side. During the first half of the day, you’ll work with expert chocolatiers to craft delicious, professional chocolate truffles, learning the techniques needed to create beautiful, mouth-watering treats. In the second half, you’ll design and make your own stunning silver ring, guided by skilled jewellery makers in a hands-on, step-by-step process. Both classes take place in the well-equipped, welcoming spaces of The Mayford Centre, where you’ll receive expert guidance from our friendly tutors. Whether you're a beginner or have some experience, this course provides everything you need to create two amazing projects in a relaxed and supportive environment. Each class runs for 2 hours, with an option to take a break and enjoy lunch at one of the nearby local pubs, just a short walk from the venue.

What to wear
We suggest that you wear comfortable shoes as you will probably want to stand whilst making and decorating the chocolates. Although an apron is provided, small amounts of chocolate may accidentally come into contact with your clothes and therefore you may wish to wear clothing that is easily washable. The room is maintained at a temperature of around 20C as this is necessary when working with chocolate.

Anyone over the age of 14 years* who wants to learn the art of chocolate making!** No experience is necessary as our staff will guide you through each step of the way.
* Anyone under the age of 16 needs to be accompanied by an over 18 year old
